Beginning of the project “SEAM: Social Education of Adults through Mobility”

Seven new vocational trainings for librarians have been launched

ICCA Launched "The Chitalishtes - An Accessible Training Place" Program

The first program activity marks the start of free of charge basic computer literacy trainings for adults in the Chitalishtes, ICCA members.

Successful graduation for the librarians in Gabrovo

In the Regional Library "Aprilov - Palauzov" - Gabrovo successfully was completed a training for acquisition of third degree in the professional qualification of the profession "Librarian". Six librarians, who are working in various libraries in the municipalities of Gabrovo and Sevlievo took part in it. The training course lasted 960 hours and covered all the knowledge and skills necessary for practicing the profession of "Librarian".

For the first time in Bulgaria the training in Gabrovo was held in mixed form - distance and either present. The highly qualified teaching staff of employees of the Regional library provided theoretical knowledge and an opportunity to acquire practical skills of librarians. After the successful completion of the course the students were admitted to state exams in theory and practice, where they achieved excellent results.

The training was conducted by the Vocational Training Center of Innovative Community Centers Association (ICCA) together with the Bulgarian Library and Information Association (BLIA) and the Regional Library "Aprilov - Palauzov" - Gabrovo. The project was implemented with the financial support of Operational Programme Development of Human Resources' scheme "I can do more". With this acquired qualification the library professionals can work into community centers, municipal and regional libraries as required by the Public Libraries Act in Bulgaria and have good knowledge to deal with the challenges of the information society.

All the certificates for successfully completed training the librarians received from the chairman of the Innovative Community Centers Association - Georgi Petrov and Antoaneta Ivanova, coordinator "Qualification and publishing" to BLIA.
