Second transnational meeting of the "SEAM" project celebrated in Riga

24.06.2015

Members from the seven partner organisations of SEAM met together in Riga (Latvia) during last week to work on the coordination of the project and prepare the next phases and tasks to be done by the partnership.

The meeting had two main objectives. Firstly, sharing and improving the materials each partner has created and developed during the first stage of the project, as well as decision-making about the duration, the methodologies and the profile of adult participants. These materials had been designed to be used on next stages of the project to train over-fifty-year-old adults on second languages communication and intercultural interaction. Secondly, preparing future stages of the project and, especially, the training course that will take place in Sofia (Bulgaria) between the 16th and 22nd of July 2015, and that will be focused on those adult trainers that will implement and use the learning materials created during the project to teach adults on international mobility and promote their social inclusion by the acquisition of new cultural and/or language skills through formal and non formal methodologies.

The meeting was also useful to get to know the facilities, programmes and activities carried out by the hosting partner organisation (Latvian Adult Education Association (www.laea.lv)), related to adult education and the good practices at local level.
