General Assembly of the Innovative Community Centers Association

On April 29th, 2009 in the hall of Chitalishte "Tzar Boris III", Sofia the regular annual General Assembly meeting of the Innovative Community Centers Association was held. The Agenda of the meeting included the following: 

1. Association's Activity Report for 2008. 

2. Financial Report for 2008. 

3. Selection of a winner in the Association's Annual Award for Greatest Contribution to its activities. 

4. Approval of an Action Plan for the Association's activities in 2009. 

The Board of Directors' Activity Report for 2008 was discussed and approved. The main points in the report were: 

- strengthen the institutional capacity of the Association - establishment of an office space and building up a team; 

- improve the communication between the team and the members of the Association by creating a web site and informational newsletter of the Association; 

- the role of the Association's Program "Exchange of Experience through Practical Training", initiated in 2008 for multiplication of good practices, further qualification of the Chitalishte's staff and establishment of partner relations between the members;

- increase the number of Associations' members; 

- establishment of AGORA Platform;

- joint project work;

- the activities of the Center for Vocational Training of the Association, efforts to increase the number of licensed professions and the scope of the trainings held; 

- enhancement of the network of IT-Card Test Centers among the Association's members; 

- activities aimed at launching of Integrated Library System; 

- publicity and advertisement of the Association by its members. 

Also, an Action Plan for the Association's activities in 2009 was discussed and approved. The activities were prioritized as follows:

1. Renew the license of the Association's Center for Vocational Training. 

2. Getting a license for a Center for Information and Vocational Orientation. 

3. Enhance the training activities. 

4. Improve the interaction among the members. 

5. Increase the number of Associations' members.

6. Develop project proposals for funding.

7. Exchange of experience and good practices. 

8. Publicize and advertise the Association and its activities. 

9. Organize work meetings and seminars. 

The winner in the Association's Annual Award for Greatest Contribution to its activities in 2008 is Mrs. Vera Demireva, Chitalishte "Vasil Levski", Balchik.
