Easter series of initiatives
17.04.2012
Events dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ were held in Dryanovo. The National Orchestra of Narodno Chitalishte "Razvitie- 1869" cheered the people of Dryanovo for the upcoming Easter celebrations. A sequence of folklore songs and dances was performed on an open stage. Soloists Donika Gorcheva and Mariika Ivanova were part of the programme. A few girls from the dance troupe joined the orchestra's instrumental performances.
The chitalishte's most beautifully painted egg competition was held for a fifth consecutive year. This year, the organizers have provided 300 eggs as well as paint, decals, stickers, brushes, pastels and all other necessary materials. Due to the sunny weather, children had the opportunity to enjoy "The Castle of Scheherazade". Each child was treated to some kozunak(cake) and boza(drink). Having finished the egg painting, the children received the promised gifts. Maria Markova, an Art teacher, awarded prizes to ten contestants. The award for youngest contestant was received by six-year-old Dimitar Philipov. Most beautiful egg awards went to Maria Mutova, Raina Mihailova, Stoiko Kolev, Monika Dimova, Nikolai Dankov, Melissa Mladenova and Ioanna -Maria Miteva. The participants from the towns of Lovech and Sofia, respectively Christina Petkovska and Nikolay Nikolov, didn't go unnoticed, either. They had an excellent performance and were awarded as well.
Interestingly, the winners had a choice of receiving either a chocolate bar, or Cancho Atanasov's book "Djimo Sidjimkata", and everyone unanimously chose the book instead of the treat.
